Fourteen trillion dollars

Let’s be honest — that “reparations” resolution introduced in the US House of Representatives the other day will go nowhere. Despite the progressive poison coursing through our culture these days, the anti-American forces behind the measure haven’t come close to the critical political mass necessary to make law.

The time will come when such an openly racist abomination passes. But not yet. Not today.

It’d be a mistake, however, for us to dismiss the significance of the moment. This resolution is the shit that can’t be crammed back into the goose. For now it just sits there and stinks, a putrid sign of what’s to come.

The misbegotten resolution begins with 20 pages of Whereases, portraying blacks as infantile and incapable, forever victims. Predictably, it invokes “1619” and leans hard on the myth of “white supremacy.” It shamefully indicts the Founders and impugns the Founding.

The price tag on this atrocity has a dozen zeroes — $14.000,000,000,000. For a little perspective, the figure is almost two thirds of the US GDP. Oh, and the resolution made sure to preface that number with the words, “at minimum.”

I’d like to tell you that it can be stopped. It can’t. It’s inevitable.

Let’s have a show of hands — who among you thinks that 14 trillion dollars (or more) in “reparations” will be enough? Anyone believe it’ll silence The Victim Class or shut down The Grievance Industry?

Neither do I.

Take care of yourselves, Patriots. Stay calm. Stay sharp. Stay free.
