We sure are gonna miss that big ol’ boy

As I type this, our beloved Ernie, the 16-ton motorhome that transported us on the journey of a lifetime two years ago, is on his way to the Fayetteville area under the hand of his new owner. We sold the coach this afternoon — Deb and I showed it to the gentleman, I drove it with him riding shotgun, and he bought it on the spot.

For us, quite naturally, this is bittersweet. We made a lot of indelible memories with that bus, and they’ll live on in our hearts as long as we breathe.

But this evening, for the first time since May 1st, 2021, we’re living only one life — our American Life on The Mountain. From now on, all of our energy can be devoted to that purpose.

So here we are. And at last, we’re fully here.

Take care of yourselves, Patriots. Stay calm. Stay sharp. Stay free.
