Easy

We were running behind on this cool, gray Sunday morning, and the laundromat was slammed by the time we arrived. We drove on and popped into Harbor Freight in Mountain Home for a few odds and ends (and 30% off anything priced at $20 or less).

The laundromat was even busier when we got back to Gassville.

After we returned home this afternoon, Deb’s cousin came down on his tractor with a bucket of gravel, which we’ll use to fill-in a couple of eroded spots on the driveway. We pulled out three chairs and a long, relaxed conversation followed.

I believe what I’ll remember most about today are a couple of whitetail encounters. The first happened on our way off The Mountain, not far from our cabin, a doe at the edge of the woods.

I grabbed that shot through the truck’s windshield, by the way. And it’s not a tight crop — I left the image at full resolution.

Just as we turned onto our road on our way Home, a solitary (and very frisky) fawn leaped out in front of us, stopping to pose for pictures under a neighbor’s pines.

That’s all for today. I’ll catch up with you tomorrow.

Take care of yourselves, Patriots. Stay calm. Stay sharp. Stay free.
