Kindness isn’t called for

Wow — that was fast. The 2024 presidential election was decided sooner than I expected, and with a lot less drama. Trump waxed Chuckles in the popular vote and the electoral tally, flipping states he’d won in 2016 but had let slip in 2020.

It was over before today dawned. Not even the lapdog media could drag it out.

Along the way, Republicans regained control of the Senate. The House majority is still in play, the only nail-biter left.

Arkansas went 64.2% Trump’s way. Our northern-tier Ozarkansas counties showed up big, with between 78% and 82% of voters going UltraMAGA.

Yeah, we’re all smiles here.

This morning, I told my deplorable social-media friends that they’re under no obligation to be classy today, that frankly I’d respect them more if they were insufferable, arrogant and downright rude. Many of them, I’m happy to say, picked up what I was puttin’ down and gleefully played along.

This is a day to rub the opposition’s noses in the dirt.

Naturally, not everyone sees it that way. Some are trotting out the tired old line that “it’s time to come together as Americans.” It’s the whole “unity” shtick — y’know, that superficial feeling that lasts about 30 seconds after an election, shattered when we realize that we have nothing in common with the other side except citizenship.

So today, we make sure that people who hate us know who they’re dealing with. We set aside our inherent goodness and kindness to rain cruelty on them.

It’s a one-day-only FAFO warning. And tomorrow, it stops.

(Or I stop, anyway.)

For the next 75 days, America is still controlled by the enemies of Liberty. Its fate rests in the hands of those who suppress speech, disarm citizens, murder infants and imprison political opponents.

See, winning an election is fine and all, but when we get right down to it, we haven’t won shit. The battle to restore America doesn’t end at the ballot box — that’s where it begins.

Anti-American forces soon will launch “peaceful protests” of yesterday’s result. They’ll engage in violence and destruction that’ll make the 2020 riots look like a bake sale. Be ready.

Meanwhile, the Ruling Elite will try to prevent Trump from taking office. How we’re able to respond to that will depend on what they do. Be ready.

But today — and I mean this sincerely — I want you to enjoy being mercilessly cruel to those liberal losers. They deserve the punishment. If you need motivation, remember what they’ve done to you, and to our country. Payback is a bitch.

In the morning, move on. We have more important things to do.

Here on The Mountain, for the first time in weeks, wildfire danger is designated as “low.” Our county judge lifted the burn ban this afternoon.

For now, the drought is busted.

I do want to correct something I said in my last post — specifically, that the Buffalo River crested (twice) at ten feet above flood stage. It reached that level yesterday, receded briefly and then, fueled by runoff upstream, resumed its rise.

The image below, captured by Crockett’s Canoe Rental, shows the river close to its first crest.

It wasn’t until 2am today that the Buffalo hit its high-water mark for this round of storms. The crest — and the number you’re about to read is not a typo — was 24 feet above flood stage.

That’s an unbelievable 14 feet higher than in the photo.

Take care of yourselves, Patriots. Stay calm. Stay sharp. Stay free.
