It’s Day 361 of 15 Days to Flatten the Curve. Deb and I are well.
We’re really just marking time here, charging our personal batteries for the days ahead. Finishing our preparations well ahead of time, along with yesterday’s rain and chill wind, gave us license to do exactly that.

It reminded me of something a friend said recently: “Early is on-time and on-time is late.”
Now we have a short window of down-time to review our loadout and try to remember what we forgot — and we’re bound to forget something anyway, of course. A note pad stashed in the front of the coach will let us record the items we inadvertently left behind.
As we make our way down the road, experience will teach us. I’m sure we’ll get ideas from other RVers. We expect to discover a whole big bunch of things we didn’t know we needed, and we’ll jot those down as well.
Today is trash day. There’s a small pile of laundry to do. And we’ll probably tidy-up the house some before we leave.
We have plans for dinner tonight at Squeek’s Bar & Grill.
Americans have been absorbing body blows thrown by the Daffy’n’Chuckles administration for almost two months now. Between executive actions from the Oval Office and legislation crammed through Congress by emboldened leftists, our country is being dismantled before our very eyes.
Andrew Breitbart said, quite correctly, “Politics is downstream of culture.” And because the political transformation is taking place in a poisoned culture, the effects are magnified. For true Americans it’s a recipe for despair.
Don’t you give in to that. Keep fighting.
The anti-American character of the new regime, in microcosm, is its pursuit of open national borders — and its categorical denial that’s precisely what it has in mind. Their incessant gaslighting on the subject makes one suspect that they don’t understand things like audio and video recording.
The ethnicity of the “immigrants” throwing themselves at our southern border is beside the point. In fact, it’s irrelevant, Ditto the potential that they’re carrying WuFlu or criminal intent.
What makes this an invasion — and I’m using that word literally and with full intent — is that accepting “immigrants” into the United States of America this way is illegal. When people, even otherwise good people, have as their first American experience the breaking of federal law without penalty, it’s an effing invasion.
This pollution of the American landscape has been explicitly authorized by the current occupant of the Oval Office. If you’re inclined to believe his denials, consider how this administration is treating the professionals who have to deal with the mess — Daffy’n’Chuckles have put a gag order on the Border Patrol and basically have dissolved ICE.
Get clear about what’s happening here. The man who was inaugurated on January 20th isn’t merely breaking promises — he’s breaking faith with America. At the expense of sovereignty and security, he’s endorsing fundamental lawlessness.
And we’re only 58 days in.
Take care of yourselves, Patriots. Stay calm. Stay sharp. Stay free.
