Two years ago today, events at the Capitol presented us with lessons — not the first and certainly not the last reminders that the State is not an ally of the People.
We saw again, on full display, that our government is an enemy of our Liberty.
And if we were paying attention, we saw that “revolution” is not a moment. It’s not a meme or a made-for-TV event.
It’s undeniable that the Ruling Elite mean to purge the American landscape of Patriots. Our betters are bent on quashing essential Liberty, dismantling Founding Principles and establishing a regime of repression and control, unmaking “the last best hope of Earth.”
The choice we make today is the same one we must make every day in this American Life. We decide, each of us, whether we “love wealth greater than Liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom.”
It’s the difference between subject and citizen.
We have the great good fortune to be alive at a time foreshadowed in the Declaration of Independence — “whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the People to alter or to abolish it.” We confront the inalterable truth that “the tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of Patriots and tyrants.”
Be of good courage. We have much work to do.

Take care of yourselves, Patriots. Stay calm. Stay sharp. Stay free.
